My new foundation routine!
It's a total love affair.... Charlotte Tilbury and Lancome have converged on my skin leaving an illuminating masterpiece!

Shout out to #nikkitutorials for recommending Lancome's Teint Idole Ultrawear foundation. I've been searching for a new brand to slate my face and it looks like I found it! Paired with Charlotte Tilbury's Flawless Filter (all the rage right now) I thought I'd give these two beauties a try.

First thing's first... primer! As quoted by #gattogirl, primer is an integral step in prepping your skin so I purchased the Bobbi Brown primer which includes an SPF 50. That's right folks... even though I am surrounded by constant clouds in Ireland, don't be fooled as the rays are always shining through.

Following the primer comes my moisturizer which is my own creation of various DoTERRA essential oils including lavender, geranium, frankinscence and tee tree oil. Diluted with a fraction of extra virgin oil, this winning combo keeps skin glowing, acne free and silky soft.

Next comes the fabulous Flawless Filter. My shade is in Light and this glowing sensation provides a sheen like base all over my face that can only be described as Aphrodite herself. Embellish much? Me.... never!! Charlotte Tilbury knew what she was doing when creating this little piece of heaven. Your skin gets a dewy kiss and also acts as a sheer bb cream. Taking one for the team #charlottetilbury!

As I glide the Lancome foundation (shade 03) over my face with my real techniques brush, the smell is intoxicating, the product moves easily covering any imperfections, removing redness and creating an overall even base that would make #kimkardashian wolf whistle.

What's next? Concealer of course!! Just needing a bit to highlight, contour and provide some light under my eyes so I reach for my Two Faced Born this way concealer in shade porcelain. This bad boy could bake, slay or cement any foundation for 24 hours.... what a dream come true. But remember, you only need a small amount.

I finish off with a couple swipes of Tom Ford blush for that healthy rouge look and my face is ready to combat any work day! I'm really impressed with the finish as it doesn't crack, it doesn't exaggerate lines nor does it oxidise. I'm obsessed with this winning combo and I hope you are too!
