Ichigo Ichie Restaurant, Cork

Japan descends on Munster

Sister of Miyazaki, Cork City

Let's get this out of the way right now. I am writing this blog on behalf of my husband who recently dined in Ichigo Ichie Restaurant. Call me a fraud if you like but at least I'm being honest! Okay, now we can get down to the best part...... the FOOD.

Patience is expected when dining in Chef Takashi Miyazaki's restaurant. That's because when you book online there is an immediate waiting list. But don't let that stop you! It's all part of the experience which includes a kaiseki 12-course tasting menu. #onceinalifetime

When you've secured your reservation (which feels like winning the lottery), start your preparations. Come with an appetite, an open mind and your wallet cause it's €95pp. Don't think about the money, think about the cuisine and how it's the first kappou-style and kaiseki restaurant in Ireland. It's worth mentioning that the menu changes every month!

Not much else to say here as the pictures tell the story. Sublime, flawless and definitely worth the wait.

Arigato!
