Check out my new PC!
This was my first experience customizing my PC online through Overclockers UK and I can honestly say.... it was easy, peasy, lemon squeezy!
Where does one start when wanting to buy a PC? Especially when options are limited due to COVID for delivery etc. A friend recommended Overclockers, a company based in the UK. It's a one stop shop for PC systems, gaming laptops, VR, monitors, networking etc. Not to mention all the merch and accessories one could hope for!
We logged onto Overclockers and the hubby starting clicking away. Graphics card, motherboard, keyboard, monitor, mouse... the works. Haven't seen him that excited since Blizzcon. The hardest decision for me was around what colour to choose. So after a few clicks, payment and enter.... voila! It look just under three weeks for them to build, test and then they prioritize the courier which arrives to you in under two days. Not bad during a global pandemic!
I wanted to find a balance with my new PC and of course, without spending thousands. My requirements were for gaming, working and streaming. The hubby chose the Kinetic R1 Gaming PC from Overclockers - AMD Ryzen 3 3200G; GeForce GTX 1650; BenQ GW2780 27" 1920x1080 IPS Widescreen LED Gaming Monitor; Corsair Gaming K55 RGB Keyboard, Backlit RGB LED and the Glorious Gaming Race Mouse Model O.
And yes, for those hardcore gamers out there, you're probably cringing that I didn't invest in an RTX graphics card and a curved monitor but then again, as long as I can run Hearthstone, photoshop and some other bits... I'm a happy camper!
I was skeptical about moving away from a Razer mouse but I'm pleasantly surprised with my choice. Plus, now I'm matchy matchy with my mouse and keyboard. And more importantly, Jason approves!
The only accessory we didn't purchase from Overclockers were the Philips Hue bloom lights. We were able to find a deal on Amazon so grabbed a few of them. Now the lights will coordinate when I'm gaming so I'm super stoked.
There you have it folks! If you're looking to upgrade your PC and don't know where to start, I would definitely check out Overclockers UK. Their website is intuitive and provides everything you need to customize your PC experience along with accessories, Windows (don't forget this if you don't have it) and anything else to make your geeky tech dreams come true.
